Update on heirloom plum melons!

Image
Heirloom plum melons The smallest heirloom plum melon turned almost white as you can see in one of the images below, and it had a spot that was moldy, and so I cut that spot off and then opened the melon and the inside was good and so I then scooped out the seeds and cut the fruit. The melon tasted super sour to me. The smell they produce is really sweet though.  The other two melons are continuing to lose their green color. And two others are still green. The big orange melon continues to grow stronger in orange hue, as you can see in one of the images below:

Heirloom plum melons The heirloom melon on top has bright orange stripes now with yellow color and it smells like sweet melon now:)  The other smaller one has become more orange and yellow and it too smells like sweet melon. Two others are starting to turn orange which are the ones that are losing their green color and there are also two more that are still green: Thank you for viewing!!!:)

Update on heirloom plum melons!

Image
Heirloom plum melons The vines of the heirloom plum melons shriveled up and died, and so I picked the heirloom plum melons early. I’m hoping they continue to turn orange. They look like little watermelons right now, as you can see in the image below: Thank you for viewing!  I’ll update again to show if they turned orange or not!

Update on 4 apple trees, 2 plum trees, 7 pear trees, and 1 cherry tree!

Image
4 apple trees This is my tallest apple tree below and it has a new branch growing.  The branch on the bottom has grown really tall this summer, as you can see in the second image below:  This is my second tallest apple tree below and most of its leaves grow on top: This apple tree below has smaller leaves and has multiple branches growing: This apple tree below has suffered from a rusty colored fungi that I sprayed with copper soap and I'll have to spray it again: 2 plum trees These two plum trees below are very healthy, full of green leaves. I ended up tossing the tallest plum tree away because it looked dead: 7 pear trees These 7 pear trees below are growing well, although some of them are growing sideways which might be caused by their roots sticking out: Cherry tree This cherry tree below looks healthy and its roots have grown bigger as you can see in the image below: Thank y

Update on date trees and avocado trees!!!

Image
Date trees This is my first time growing date trees so I didn't realize what was really happening to their leaves right away. 8 out of 10 of the date trees' leaves are splitting apart and fanning out by turning into multiple leaves, as you can see in the images below: A lot of the leaves on this date tree below have already split apart completely: This is another date tree below that has split a lot of its leaves: This date tree below is in the process of splitting its leaves apart and fanning out: This date tree below has some leaves that have split apart: 4 avocado trees This is the tallest avocado tree below, with two long branches at the top. You can see the leaves have been eaten a lot. I should have sprayed it. You can also see that one of its leaves has been burnt from the Utah sun, which is very strong. I think being inside will help it grow better, if it gets enough sunlight: This is the second tallest avocado tree below

Update on heirloom plum melons and tropical trees!

Image
Heirloom plum melons I picked one of my heirloom plum melons today  because it turned orange. I smelled the sweet melon scent that came from it too. It grew pretty big too!:) The rest of these heirloom plum melons are still green. They are also growing bigger, which is great! Tropical trees(pomegranate, date, citrus, and avocado trees) The tropical trees are inside now because it gets cold at night now. I am using my grow lights on a lot of them to help them keep growing, as you can see in the last two images below.  The date trees didn't do very well outside this summer because some of their leaves are turning brown and they are also breaking up. Hopefully they'll grow better inside.  Also the 2 tallest avocado trees didn't do great being outside this summer because they have leaves that have been eaten up on the edges, so I'm hoping that keeping them inside will help them grow better and not get eaten as badly.  The citru

Update on 8 heirloom plum melons, 4 avocado trees, 2 cherry trees, 1 apricot tree, and 7 citrus trees!

8 heirloom plum melons! I didn't know these guys had even grown, but I found out about them today when I looked for them in the melon garden! They are growing bigger than the heirloom plum melons I grew last year, which is really exciting! I won't pick them until they turn an orange yellow color because that's when they'll smell like sweet melon!:) 4 avocado trees This is the tallest avocado tree below. Its two branches on top have grown taller, but its leaves don't look very healthy. They are drooping and some are brown, but that's normal for new leaves to be brown at first:   This is my second tallest avocado tree below and it's doing well! It's probably 1-2 feet shorter than the tallest avocado tree, but it still has grown pretty tall! This is my newest avocado tree below and it is doing really well! It has healthy green leaves:  I finally replanted my short stubby avocado tree into a tall white contain
