Spider mites, apple fungi, and pear seeds!

Image
Spider mites I finally figured out why the spider mites keep coming back. I examined the peach leaves closer and found tons of white bugs or eggs in webs hidden closely on the underside of a lot of the peach leaves, so no wonder I can't get rid of the problem! The peach leaves were drooping so badly. I decided to get rid of all the spider mites by wiping and smashing gently every peach leaf with my hands that were covered in disposable examination gloves and had insecticidal soap sprayed on. So I am hoping like crazy that after doing that the spider mites will eventually and FINALLY be gone so my fruit trees can continue to grow! I also had this done to 2 or 3 of my plums. APPLE FUNGUS One of my pink lady apple trees got red dots spreading on 2-3 of its leaves and its stem. Because I already tried cutting off the previous red spotted leaves before, and that didn't work, this time I sprayed copper soap on the apple tree. I think it is helping the fruit tree with its f

Pomegranates, apricot, and peaches!!:)

6 POMEGRANATES The pomegranates were growing sideways so I put straws next to them to hold them up vertically so they don't grow into sideways trees! CHERRY The stem has grown longer. It is also growing its stem in the middle of its leaves now!:) APRICOT The apricot is very tall. It has been through a lot because of bugs so its leaves have become discolored in spots though. Today, I wiped away spider mites and their webs on the stem where they were living. So the SPIDER mites have returned and are invading my baby apricot and peach fruit trees again... I can't get rid of them. I just have to wipe them away with cotton swab and insecticidal soap everyday to reduce their population so they don't get out of hand. It's a pain and a lot of work. I wish they would go away! The stem of the apricot is thicker at the base and has a redder color at the base than the rest of the stem which is more green. 5 PEACHES They ar

Its biggest leaf is starting to grow taller than the cup now:) This one below hasn't grown too much, only its leaves might be growing a wee bit bigger: This one below finally started growing again and grew a third leaf! This one below is very tiny and has very tiny leaves: 2 Lemon fruit tree sprouts: The leaves of this one below have grown a little bit bigger: The big leaf of this one below is still massive in size from its other small leaf: Thank you for viewing!!!:):):)

Pomegranates, plums, and cherry!:)

6 POMEGRANATES They are all continuing to grow speedily!:)  They have 8-10 leaves already! 5 PLUMS The leaves on the plums are perky and beautiful.  I had tiny white spider mites growing webs on the leaves though. I took care of the little pests with insecticidal soap. I have used the insecticidal soap on most of my plants and there is no bad reaction, so it works well on baby fruit trees. Tallest baby plum tree below:   This plum tree below is growing new leaves.   This baby plum tree below is also growing new leaves and the leaves are very perky and healthy:)   I sprayed water on this baby plum tree below. It also has very healthy leaves, but it isn't growing new leaves yet.   Hopefully it will soon. This baby plum tree is also very healthy and growing new leaves. It is overgrowing its container so I will replant it in a bigger container soon.   CHERRY As you can see, the stem is continuing to grow taller. L

Cherry, lemons, and grapefruits!!!

CHERRY! LEMONS! and Grapefruits! Lemon: The sides of the seed are open. It hasn't grown any stem yet. Lemon: The end of the stem is finally growing 2 leaves which are very small right now. Lemon: One of its leaves is very large and the other is very small which is off balanced, but cute too. Grapefruit: It has a large leaf in the back, and a stem with 2 leaves in the front. It is growing green and healthy. Grapefruit: It has a stem with 2 leaves in the back and a stem with tiny leaves in the front. Grapefruit: It hasn't grown or done anything in a while.  Grapefruit: This grapefruit sprout below is an extremely slow grower. Cherry: The stem is growing taller which a relief because I thought it quit growing. I think the plastic is helping as well as it receiving plenty of light too.  Thank you for viewing!

Update on a few of my 41 fruit tree sprouts!!!

Fruit TREE SPROUTS The root of this peach tree sprout is already so thick and big that it is beginning to pop out of the ground! You can see the root beside the stem in the dirt in the image below: This is the whole view of the healthy peach tree that has the thick root popping out of the ground. The leaves are gorgeous! I am very pleased to see my 3 big Fuji apple fruit tree sprouts doing better. They are growing leaves and the stems are not skinny anymore but they are thickening up!!! I believe it has to do with covering the soil with plastic to give the roots more moisture. They are also receiving plenty of light now, which is also contributing to their better growth:) These are 2 homemade plastic, blue straw, and blue duck tape MINI greenhouses in the image below, for 2 of my tallest and fastest growing fruit trees! The first image is the baby APRICOT fruit tree and the second image is the baby PLUM fruit tree. I made greenhouses so the flie
