My experience in growing a date tree sprout from seed!

I had a high success rate with the dates!
The green sprout will grow up, while the root it is attached to will grow down and is white.
I placed the Medjool date seeds in a sealed bag buried in a damp paper towel which held water and a small percentage of hydrogen peroxide. I placed the bag, wrapped in a kitchen towel, in the upstairs closet to stay warm.
In about a month, most of the dates began to grow a white root!
I transplanted them into normal potting soil mixed with cactus soil.
Right now I have 7 dates with a green sprout. The rest have a white root and may or may not grow a sprout!
So that is my experience in growing date seeds from date fruits we bought from a normal grocery store.
