I have great news!   My grapefruit, lemon, and pomegranate seeds sprouted!!!!   And right below is my big Fuji apple tree sprouts: Three big Fuji apple tree sprouts: All of their stems are super skinny. Two of the sprouts(the two in back ) are growing leaves, so there is a chance those two will survive. The one in the front seems to be dying because its smallest leaves are dying so I may lose that one. In image below from   LEFT to RIGHT: 3 lemon tree seed sprouts 6 pomegranate tree seed sprouts & 5 grapefruit tree seed sprouts These sprouted very quickly, in 10-13 days. Some of them just have the root and others have the root and sprout growing already!  In image below,  6 pomegranate sprouts planted in soil In image below, 3 lemon sprouts planted in soil In image below, 4 grapefruit sprouts planted in soil I still have 10+ more grapefruit germinating in a dark warm plac...

UPDATE on fruit tree sprouts!

Hello everyone! I am happy to say that my fruit tree sprouts are continuing to grow. I have them under grow lights and fluorescent light bulbs now. They used to receive sunlight from outside when they sat on the windowsill, but now they receive artificial lighting so they can receive enough light to grow during the winter. I have found that the grow lights and fluorescent light bulbs placed in regular lamps, are allowing my fruit trees to continue their growth during the winter time! Plum Fruit tree SPROUTS: I have five in total and they are all doing well! This first plum sprout is growing the fastest. His new leaves on top are more towards the yellow color than green though; this is because he is growing under grow lights and fluorescent lights! Apricot fruit tree sprout: This apricot fruit tree sprout is doing really well. As you can see he is my tallest fruit tree right now!  It was starting to tip over because all of its le...

I wanted to show you how each fruit tree grows a different looking leaf. It's pretty cool to see! In the back row, left to right: peach, pink lady, date, and Leo the apricot tree sprout! In the front row, left to right: red cherry, red delicious apple seed, plum, and big Fuji apple seed! AND THIS IS A GREAT IDEA FOR a FLY PROBLEM: There are many small little flies living in the dirt in the containers the fruit tree sprouts are in.  MY IDEA: Buy sticky fly trap tape and tape it inside the containers which will catch the little flies.  I WILL LET YOU KNOW later if it WORKS in getting rid of the little flies!:) Here is a closer look at the fruit trees leaves, how they are all different! Plum: It is sort of long, oval, and pointed at the end! Apricot leaf: The leaf is round and pointed at the end! Peach leaf: It is long and thin Apple: The leaves have jagged edges! Cherry: It has jagged edges and is roun...
