What I did to germinate the plum seeds!

So I better explain what I did in order to germinate the PLUM seeds!

I used the same method I did for the other fruit tree seeds, which is:

I bought plum fruits from normal grocery stores. I also used 2 plum seeds from my grandmother's plum tree.

With this fruit I took the pits out and then opened up the pits with a hammer, to reveal the small almond shaped seeds.

With the seeds, I buried them in damp paper towel which was damp with water and a small percentage of hydrogen peroxide. I then put the seeds which were placed in paper towel, in a tightly sealed ziplock bag. All of the seeds(even other varieties of fruit tree seeds), were then placed in a container that I covered to make it dark, so it can replace the darkness of the soil it would naturally be in outside.

These seeds were in the fridge for 3-5 weeks. The ones from my grandmother's tree were in the fridge for maybe two months.

I peeled off the skin of these seeds when soft enough to peel.

I then decided to test a few plum seeds after 3-5 weeks to see if they would germinate in soil. When those seeds turned out to actually germinate in soil, I then planted the rest of the plum seeds in soil, AND they are germinating beautifully. I love the purple root growing on the plum seed that I put as an image on my blog.

SO THAT IS WHAT YOU CAN DO YOURSELF TO GERMINATE plum seeds!!!!:):)

SUCCESS TO EVERYONE WHO TRIES!!!:):)
